Learning Squared at the Ranch is a nurturing and wholistic teaching environment designed to get kids caught up so that they can keep up and become independent learners. The positive encouragement of our staff, combined with individualized instruction based on our diagnostic testing, is what we believe sets us apart from traditional tutoring and makes our program a success.

     We start every student with a series of defined diagnostic tests designed to identify skills that are weak or missing altogether. Then we sit down with parents and go over test results and make recommendations for a plan of action. With parental permission, we will also meet with your child's teacher to share information and gain additional insight into his/her academic profile.

     Once a child has completed the diagnostic testing, he or she attends sessions at the Ranch where a trained teacher is ready and waiting for them. Our testing helps us design a "blueprint" that guides us through each child's program. Each program is designed so that no time is wasted on unnecessary information. We target weak and missing skills (sometimes these could have occurred two or three years earlier) and fill those in first.

     Our techniques ensure long-term mastery by constantly assessing and monitoring progress. We move as quickly or take as much time as the individual child needs. Our goal is to build a foundation of understanding that will last a lifetime. We're gladly working ourselves out of a job!
